Nancy Durall, Artistic DirectoNancy Durall
KRDT Artistic Director
Teacher and Choreographer
KY Registered/Licensed Dietitian

Nancy combines her love for Christ with dance, remembering one of her favorite Bible verses from Acts, “In Him we live and move and have our being.”

“It was my dream at a young age to be a ballerina and medical doctor.  Several things did not add up for that, but God intervened.  Where I was lacking, He was faithful. I’m thrilled to look back and see God’s hand all over my life and how He directed my steps in my profession and avocation.”

In 1996 Nancy started her ballet training with Sue Champion, founder of KY Repertory Dance Theatre.  With Sue and KRDT Nancy and Rod traveled to Moscow, Russia in 2000 and 2002, performing and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in churches, grand community meeting halls, hospitals, and schools.   When Sue and her family moved to Moscow in 2004 to minister, Rod and Nancy became directors of KRDT.

Nancy has attended dance intensives and dance teacher training with Ballet Magnificat!, Hosanna Sacred Arts Dance Festival from 2006-2011 hosted by Briarwood Ballet School, Birmingham, AL: Ad Deum Dance in Houston, TX; Ballet 5/8, Chicago, IL; Dancers’ Studio,  and Lisa Howell, physiotherapist, dance health training.

A certified Body Recall instructor for over 18 years, she teaches a conditioning class for senior adults in addition to ballet classes for all ages.

Nancy and Rod are ministers on their church’s worship team as lead dancer and bass player.

For over 30 years Nancy has worked in the medical field as Registered/Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist treating patients/clients in hospitals, extended care and fitness facilities, and private practice as manager and healthcare provider.  With her knowledge and experience in anatomy, fitness, injury recovery, and nutrition, Nancy endeavors to enrich the lives of KRDT dancers as she prays for them and seeks God’s best for them.

Along with the other teachers, Nancy directs two stage productions per year.  KRDT also shares the joyful art of dance in extended care facilities, churches, and schools.
